I think this is the right goal- I did a quick calculation a while back and it takes about 1TW to do the electrolysis to remove a gigaton of CO2 from the air/water and convert it to long chain hydrocarbons with the Fischer Tropsch process. That is about 1:40th of what we use today, so the numbers are just huge.
Of course the addressable market is literally unlimited...

I'm sorry, but this interview does nothing to settle my concerns from their initial announcement.
This comes across as a business plan first, where the actual hard part is the cost case for producing their target product.
Saying only "mass manufacturing" does nothing at all to address this.
This leaves me with the feeling of the "underpants gnomes" meme, where the how? Is step 2.
Well, as with any industrial business endeavor, the proof will be in the pudding. Valar will pull this off or it won’t.
